It is amazing that we have 3 children... all boys, & yet they are all different. Imanuel is our dreamer in regards to imagination & creativity. Isaiah is a dreamer when it comes to planning & thinking. But Ian is our dreamer in the area of wanting to do something & finding a way to make it happen. Much like his father, Ian LOVES numbers & finding a solution to a problem. His most recent dream was to make money. That might sound silly or simple, but to Ian it has been in his mind for weeks. After much planning & talking & making his parents partially nuts, we devised a plan. Ian used his money to buy a bag of popcorn kernels & some plastic cups. He & his Dad popped some popcorn & put it in a big styrofoam cooler. He headed to the park with the plan to sell popcorn & make money! When the evening was over, Ian had successfully made just a few dollars, but to Ian he had accomplished a dream! He ran next door to buy a big Coca Cola. I asked what he planned to do with that drink? He replied, " One of the kids wanted to buy a coke... tomorrow I will sell coke with my popcorn & I will have a combo!" I was pleased with his thinking & his continued drive. He had already completed his dream, but now he had another focus. He wasn't satisfied with simply completing a small dream..... Ian was going to Dream Big! What has God laid on your heart recently? Are there dreams that you have that you haven't pursued? Maybe it's time to pop a little popcorn in your life!
