The month of April has been packed! One of the big events on the schedule was welcoming in our friend Ashley Penley. Ashley is a long time friend & is the Youth Pastor of one our larger churches in NC. We are thrilled that he will be bringing a team to minister here this summer. There are a lot of great things in store for their adventures here in a few months. I will keep everyone posted about these experiences when they happen. But for now I would like to ask you to begin praying for the ministry that will take place this summer! Pictured is Ashley with our boys as he unveils their candy that he brought from the states. Missionary kids LOVE candy from back home! Isaiah was excited about his Reese's Cups & gum, Ian was jazzed about his Laffy Taffy & Juicy Fruit gum, & Imanuel was in heaven with his "Chocolate with the words on it".... AKA: Hershey Bars. We can actually get those here but they are really expensive. Besides, I think Imanuel thinks they taste better when he knows that they cam from NC! (ha ha). I am sure after a week with our monkeys, Ashley was quite excited about leaving the jungle & returning home. We had a blast showing around our friend. We can't wait for the team this summer!
