Well, after living in Barquisimeto for over a year now, we finally went to the local zoo! We had a great time. The trip worked out perfectly since Ian is learning about animals in science. We saw lots of animals as we braved the heat. Chris had as much fun as the boys I think! Our friend Miryect also went along. I think she liked it too. I am not sure which was more entertaining for her.... the actual animals or our energetic children! Imanuel was a little sad that the giraffe was no longer there. The groundskeeper said that it died about 9 months ago! Which brings up the question.... Where do you bury an animal as big as a giraffe??? Hmmm..... Just a thought! Ian enjoyed seeing the turtles & the crocodiles. Isaiah liked most all of it. Unfortunately, the Science Museum (that title makes it sound more spectacular than it actually was) was closed so we didn't get to go inside. But all in all, everyone had a great day at the zoo. It is always nice when we can have these opportunities to do things together as a family!
