Trip to Florida

As our time in the states came to an end... we were blessed to be a part of the Latin America-Caribbean Regional retreat. This meeting was a time to unite all of our missionaries from Central & South America along with the Caribbean islands for a time of renewal, fellowship, meetings, & much more. It was a great time for us to see some of our precious friends that we have missed since graduating language school in Costa Rica. It was an awesome time for our boys as well. The only bummer was that with all of the temperature changes & travel, our boys all 3 became quite sick. Our week in Florida wasn't as "magical" as one would have hoped for but we were still blessed by being there.

We made attempts to take our boys to a doctor, but with it being the holidays this was difficult & was going to be very expensive. We were so blessed that one of our missionaries there was a doctor. She checked out our boys & gave us advice. It was such a comfort to this Mama to have that friendly face to help us since we were far from home. God definitely supplies the need no matter where you are! Pictured are Ian with a special "chief" from our school of missions in 2006. She worked with Ian when he was 3... now again while he is 7! Her name is Kristi Arnold & she currently works as a missionary with the International Society of Missionary Kids (ISMK). To find out more about the ISMK program you can follow the address below. Also pictured is me with a dear friend & fellow missionary, Kendra Doutt. She & her family are missionaries in Nicaragua. To find out more about the Doutt family & their ministry, there is also an address provided.
