Girl's Night

We have been blessed here in Venezuela with many wonderful friends. The funny part is that the 5 employees that do such a great job working for Global, are all women! At first I don't think either of them knew what to think about having Chris for a boss! (ha) But everyone has adjusted & they have become an amazing team! We have a young team ranging in age from 18-34. These women all have an amazing call of ministry & service on their lives. They not only are employees, but also friends & family for us & for our children. We decided to have a "Girl's Night" to thank them for their hard work. I spent an evening with all of them plus our 3 boys & Chris, of course. It was an evening of patacones for dinner and many hours of playing the Wii. It was quite entertaining watching these ladies move & jump in order to earn points on these games. The next morning I made waffles for breakfast. This was perhaps the funniest part. None of these ladies had ever seen a waffle. They had no idea what they were even called. They liked the little holes in them & were impressed with the syrup & jellies that we had to go on top. Our joke now is that we are all going to have a business together selling waffles! We are so thankful for these amazing women that are not only hard workers, but also love our family!
