Life in the Nelson house has often been compared to living in a zoo or perhaps a circus. I never thought we would also be considered a farm too! But, contrary to my own thinking, we ended up with our brood of cats & bunnies. Our bunny, Fresa, has now successfully had 2 litters of babies. The first litter gave us 5 new additions & the second gave us 6... however 1 died just after birth so that brought it back down to 5. The bunnies have grown & done quite well & our boys have been thrilled to have the chance to watch them grow & play with them.
The most attached of the 3 kids to our newest family members is Ian. He doesn't like meeting new people but new animals are a different story! Fortunately, we have been blessed with some new homes for some of the bunnies. So far we had gotten rid of 2 of them a few weeks ago & this week 4 more left. We are on a roll! Two more have homes & that brings us down to 2 cats, Fresa, & 2 bunnies from the first litter. Ian & Imanuel are begging to keep them.
Our only concern is what we will do with them while we are home itinerating. We will keep praying about that one! For now Ian is thrilled that his 2 little pets will sit happily in his lap & eat carrots or whatever food he has to offer them!
