Happy New Year Update...

Sorry this is not a new picture. I am making a New Year's Resolution to get more family pictures that I am in!

It is hard to believe that 2011 has come & gone.  I have often said that this has indeed been the longest, fastest year of our lives! For our family, this year has completely redefined us.  We are still in the process of understanding exactly what our lives will look like in the future.  The plans that we had & the objectives we were working toward were just fine! But apparently, God had an even better plan in store.  As our family approaches a new year, it is bittersweet.

Chris will be having surgery Jan. 5 to repair a damaged joint in his right hand that healed improperly after the accident, along with a series of check ups & appointments that will hopefully give us clarity on how to better help his head injury.  He will also have another round of therapy after his cast is removed from his hand.  The "bitter" part is that we will be using quite a bit of 2012 to continue his treatment from his March 9th accident. This will limit our ability to travel & raise funds to return to Venezuela.

The "Sweet" part however, is that God is in control! He knows exactly what we need & when we need it.  We are trusting Him that 2012 will be a year of healing & renewal after the year of tragedy & disfunction that we have now finished.  Even through the pain & difficulties, God has been so very faithful! Our plan for this year is to walk the path that God is laying out for our family.  And for now, that is to take care of Chris & our family.

May you all be blessed in 2012.  Thank you all for your continued support both financially & through prayer.  Without the many people all over the world praying on our behalf, what we do would be impossible!

From Our Family to Yours,
Happy New Year!
