Dear God...

Well, lots of things have happened over the last week that are quite "blog-worthy" but I will get to those once our team leaves & things slow down.  One thing however that caught my attention & I felt just couldn't wait was about my time this evening with Imanuel.  I am still recovering from a wicked virus so the boys & I have been home more while the team has been here.  This evening, Isaiah & Ian went to a friend's house for a bit so Imanuel & I had some alone time.  We ate our homemade pizza while it was still hot & then watched the last part of the National Fine Arts presentations online that all of our youth in the Assemblies of God compete in.  He enjoyed the singing & human videos.
Then he told  me he needed to pray & ask God something.  I told him to go ahead.  He said, "Dear God, please turn my house into jello... except for the furniture, that needs to be doughnuts!... Amen"  I smiled & told him if our house was jello & furniture doughnuts, we would have one sticky situation!  I admire Imanuel's sweet innocence & imagination.  How precious it is that when he has a question or desire he has no problem taking it to God with great expectations about the outcome.  I always enjoy my alone time with Imanuel.  It is such a sweet treasure to share his imagination as we play or watch Veggie Tales or Blues Clues since no one is around to tell him what to watch.  He says he is Daddy's buddy & Mommie's "Sweet Love"... either way, he is one special boy!
