We had the privilege to assist with a Thanksgiving lunch for several baseball players. The guys have played on various semi-pro and professional teams. During the off season they contract to play with Venezuelan teams to keep up their skill & to be a benefit to the Venezuelan teams. In Venezuela, baseball is a definite crowd pleaser. Our fellow missionary friends, Sam & Lisa, prepared their annual Thanksgiving lunch to give the players a little reminder of home. This is just a small act of kindness that shares the love of Jesus with these men. Our boys had a blast meeting the players. While there, we even received special invitations from pitcher Andrew Lorraine to attend the next game for the Cardinals or as they say in Venezuela... "Los Cardinales". Pictured are our boys at the game. It was a great experience! They even got to have their picture taken with the team mascot.
