We were excited to have the opportunity to travel out of Barquisimeto & into the city of Mérida. This city is about 8 hours away. You have to pass through many mountains. This path is VERY difficult & results in much tension & nausea. Our family & Jersy, our office manager, were invited to speak at one of our extension sites for Global University. It was an amazing trip. The weather is much cooler & the view is incredible. While there, we stayed with a family that have become dear friends. The boys were even able to visit a small zoo in the center of the city. We met another missionary family that have served as pastors in this city for a number of years. Our meeting was successful as was our trip. As with any travel in many of these countries... we had some interesting experiences... but that is for another blog entry. Above the boys are pictured with Jersy, Rachel (the mom of our friend Fernanda), & a little fella in their family that helps out in their family run store.
