Pizza & Patacones

This past sunday we had the opportunity to visit a church in the city of Nirgua.  It was a wonderful time with the Pastor, his family, & another family in the church.  When we arrived, we were greeted by a man in the church.  This man & his family own 2 restaurants in town.  One is  chinese food, the other is pizza & Italian food.  That sounds kind of funny since we are in Venezuela.  This man's family fed us breakfast before showing us the way to the church.  We had a great service.  Chris spoke, Isaiah & Ian enjoyed children's church, & Imanuel crawled in my lap & slept the whole time.  It was a very early morning for the boys.  After the service, we were hosted again at the home of this family.  The pastor & his family joined us.  We has yummy patacones made from plantains.  Normally they have lettuce, tomato, cheese, & a variety of meat.  These had about 10 different meats but Chris & I can only tell you what about 7 of those meats were.  They were however quite good.  The funny part was that while we enjoyed patacones, the boys enjoyed pizza.  It was a great fit.  Yet again God provided for the picky taste buds of our children while still allowing their Daddy to have typical Venezuelan food which he LOVES!  Pictured are The pastor & his family, the family that hosted us, the boys & myself.  For those wondering where Ian is... he is swinging in the hammock in the background! (ha ha)
