It's Chocolate Day!

Many of you recently saw our blog & youtube video of us cutting open a Chinese Guanabana.  Well, today we are ready to cut open yet another type of produce.  We were given 3 cacao pods.  These pods are the first step in the long process of creating chocolate.  The boys have waited yet again, anxiously to see what would come out of these pods.  In order to make this day memorable for the boys, we decided to have Chocolate Day in our house.  Over the course of the day the boys have colored pictures of chocolate bars, watched movies & kid shows that had some sort of chocolate involved, & eaten Chocolate pizza.  They even watched their favorite show that they love watching with their Daddy... MacGyver.  And believe it or not, the pilot episode of MacGyver has Mac stopping an acid leak with you guessed it.... CHOCOLATE!

The final excitement for the evening was another video presentation of Daddy cutting open the Cacao Pods.  The boys had a great time & I think that August 1 will forever be Chocolate Day in the Nelson family!  Attached are photos of the boys & of course, the cacao.  Imanuel thought it was most fun to line the shells up like a train.  Isaiah liked examining the seeds inside.  Ian was a little grossed out by his Daddy rubbing fresh cocoa oil on his elbow!  For more photos & to view the video clip, check us out on Facebook or youtube by typing in Chrisbngonzalez in the search. You will find this video clip as well as others.  Thanks again for your interest in our family & ministry here in Venezuela.
