Descansa (Rest)

Chris & I have been making a lot of mental notes about food, transportation ideas, souvenir shops, & lodging possibilities for next summer when we will be hosting teams.  Chris had heard of a nearby hotel that would be a possibility that was in a great location.  He was just going to go by & talk with the manager about prices & services as we would do back home in the states, but our son Ian has been begging to go to a hotel.  It seems that most of the memories our children have involved traveling, visiting different churches, & staying in hotels!  Those memories are occupational hazards so to speak in the life of a missionary that itinerates to raise support before heading to their field.  For Ian, it was a memory that he was quite fond of & he couldn't understand why it had been so long since we had visited a hotel.  We decided it would be fun to take the boys for one night so they could have their "hotel fix" and since this hotel had a swimming pool, that would just be an added bonus.  Well, we went & it was indeed a wonderful little get-a-way.  It was nice to be away from phones & schedules for just a brief moment.  To be able to rest & chill out with the boys was fun for all of us!
