Always Expect the Unexpected!

We recently were invited to El Venado.  This city is located in Zulia state & is about 4 hours from where we live.  Chris was asked to come share about the ministry of Global with some pastors from the area.  Sounds simple enough, right?  Well, after traveling all that way with our 3 kids & Chris's office assistant, Erica, we were taken to this place where it was very dark & let's just say, not the safest of places.  We were greeted in a small area with a cement floor & the beginnings of a roof as this was a newer established church.  We met the pastors & Chris presented about Global as planned.  Erica was available to assist him as well.  I on the other hand dealt with the already tired children as it was already 7:30 p.m. & we were just getting started.

After 30 minutes we were told we would need to go to the second meeting.  This was a surprise & a mystery.  We followed another truck down the street less than a mile & to our surprise there was a gathering of almost 600 people!  There was music blaring & people everywhere.  Since there was nowhere to ark on the street, we were told to follow a guide.  He led us through ALL 600 people.  It was like the parting of the Red Sea & here we went right through it in our Speed the Light vehicle!  After we were taken to our seats, Chris was told that he would be addressing this large crowd & sharing a little about the ministry of Global University as well.

He did a great job!  We were very proud of him.  The boys had a good time too.  Isaiah loves to meet new friends & socialize as he is much like his Daddy!  Imanuel is happy as long as he has a few toys & food.  Ian on the other hand is our home body so he sits with Mommie & counts the minutes until he can return back to his house.  It is so funny how different 3 little boys can be.  They were all 3 excited though when someone brought them a nice cold glass of Pepsi since it was a very warm evening.  Chris was invited to pray with the pastors during the alter service.  He said he lost count after 48 people asked Jesus to be their personal savior.  When we were ready to leave, we loaded into our truck with a mass of on lookers & actually backed out (in reverse!!!) the same way we entered... through all 600 people!  It was an experience we will never forget!
