A monumental thing happened in the life of the Nelson Family last night.... Our baby lost his 2nd front tooth! Yes folks, that's right... Imanuel is missing his 2 front teeth. (and a few more as well)
How did that happen?
Where did the time go?
Our baby is becoming a big boy at the ripe ole' age of 7.
Here is a photo of the proud "toothless" 7 year old, with his sweet & crooked smile (His best feature)
And here he is with his buddy & partner in crime, Ian. (Of course we had to have a silly picture)
And this is the nice picture that they did to make Mom happy.
On another note, our family has been rolling! The boys are full speed ahead in homeschool. Most days have proven to be successful. Chris has been all over the place speaking, preaching, & loving on people as he does so well.
September Fun Facts:
1. As of tomorrow we will have celebrated 3 staff birthdays this month.
2. Chris will have eaten goat twice.
3. Isaiah tried rabbit for the first time (but don't tell Imanuel that his big brother ate a bunny!)
4. We have unsuccessfully stalked a few mice in our house for a week & I am NOT happy with our unsuccessfulness! Such a nasty feeling to know you have unwelcome guest!
5. We are still working on getting a ministry vehicle for Fundación Esperanza. For now we know our taxi drivers VERY well!
6. My attempt to eat bread & pasta has proven to be a major FAIL! Originally, I was able to tolerate breads & pastas here because the refining process of the foods here is actually easier on my stomach & the grains are not genetically altered as they are in the USA. But alas, all good things must come to an end! After much pain for a week I am back to the ole' grindstone of a Gluten Free life. In the end, it is a healthier lifestyle... but such sadness to give up the yumminess of bread & sweets!
7. Ian & Imanuel are speaking lots of spanish & making many new friends along the way.
September has indeed proven to be very busy & it's not even finished yet! I am sure we will have a few more interesting stories before it is. As for now, I will hold the face of my sweet little seven year old snaggletooth close to my heart. He is a treasure.
