Keeping Up with the Nelsons....

I don't even know where to begin....

Our life has been in nonstop motion for over a month & a half.  In August, we found ourselves driving all over the USA... actually, we only made it as far a the midwest but it felt like all over the USA! Our trip to Texas was a fabulous time to connect with the missionaries who serve in the top geographic countries of South America.  Other than the fact that the it felt like it was over 200˚, we had a fabulous time.

A highlight of that trip was that their Chris & "Uncle" Bob got to baptize both Isaiah & Ian. Bob & his wife Lisa are our friends & fellow AGWM missionaries to Venezuela. They cared for our boys while Chris was injured in the hospital.  On a side note I would like to say, never have I ever been so thankful to have such precious people in our lives as when the Holloways not only cared for the physical needs of our boys... but also the spiritual & emotional needs they had after their Daddy's accident.  It was a special moment for us that they could be there for this special baptismal service.

After our time in Texas, we packed up & headed to Oklahoma.  We were so blessed to spend a week with Pastor Shawn Money & his precious family & church family. We had the opportunity to meet Pastor Shawn & his team in Venezuela while they were there on a missions trip.  We were so excited to hear someone speaking ENGLISH! Who knew that something so simple could lead to a great friendship?! What an amazing time we had.  We have never been so spoiled & loved. If you ever find yourself in Muldrow, OK & need a church or a kind face... look no further than Muldrow Assembly of God.

But all good things must come to an end & we must all return to reality... so, we packed up the van & headed back home to NC.  Since then we have been traveling, sharing about missions in churches, raising funds to return to Venezuela in the summer, homeschooling, & trying to not go crazy! So far, I feel that we have been mostly successful in all of those areas.  But the jury is still out on the "me not going crazy" part! (ha)

Just for a little update, The Missionary Man is doing quite well.  God has been so faithful in our family & with Chris's healing.  He is still recovering from the head injury, his energy level is still not always high, & his hand & arm are not 100%... but he is alive & whole & we thank God everyday for his protection & healing on Chris's life.  We were even blessed to be a part of his baby brother, Jason's, wedding.  Chris officiated the ceremony & our handsome little Imanuel was the ring bearer.  I threw in a few pictures just so you could all see the cuteness that the people of Sumter, SC were fortunate enough to see on September 24. (I know I am incredibly biased!)

My goal as we are now in my favorite season of Autumn is to blog a bit more.  I guess we will call it my "new season's resolution." Hopefully it will be more effective than the kind we do at New Year's.  Those are never successful! (smile)
