I always try to highlight birthdays of our family members. I guess my birthday should be no exception, even though I am about at the point of not having them anymore! (ha ha) Actually, I don't mind them. I enjoy celebrating... I just don't get into surprises... I am too planned out & detail oriented to enjoy a surprise! But other than that, I don't mind the day. I see each year as a blessing & hopefully another year of learning & maturity that will make the next year pass from a better more positive perspective. I celebrated 33 years of life & am blessed to have had wonderful people to celebrate with! I enjoy my birthday being in December because everything is already decorated & beautiful for the holidays. I guess for that day, I can pretend that everybody decked out the malls & houses just because I was born! (ha ha) Even though I know the reality, it is fun to pretend to be a princess, if only for one day a year! Especially living in this house of boys!
I am blessed to have 3 healthy, energetic little boys & a wonderful husband. And to top it all off, we are living an amazing adventure in South America! (I know that sounds exotic doesn't it?) Actually, exotic NEVER enters our vocabulary, but none the less, we are where God wants us to be & we are honored to be doing the things He has asked us to do. I can think of no better way to celebrate a birthday than being in the center of God's will with your family.
