Batter Up......

For the second year in a row, we had the privilege of attending a Thanksgiving dinner with a few missionaries here in our city & some very special guests.  Sam, a missionary here with the Baptist church, is a chaplain for the local baseball team.  Baseball is a BIG deal here in Venezuela.  Every year, the local teams invite members of the minor leagues & major leagues to play during their off seasons on the Venezuelan teams.  This keeps their skill up & helps out the Venezuelan teams.  Sam & Lisa always invite the American members of the team over a traditional Thanksgiving meal.  This year was no exception so we had the chance to meet 2 pitchers & 1 trainer.  It was a fabulous day & the boys had a blast.  One even went outside & threw the ball with Isaiah & Ian.  It was so nice for our boys to have this opportunity.  It is definitely a memory they will never forget!

Our family with the players & their trainer & our friend Nigel who is a missionary from Ireland.

Ian was most fascinated that Dan would play video games with him!

Isaiah was so excited to play catch with a "real" baseball pitcher!
