Our kids have always wanted a pet, especially Ian. They knew that a dog would have to wait for our next term on the field. After much thought we decided that a bunny might just be a nice compromise. We went to the pet store & they had just received about 10 new bunnies. We carefully selected the one that would be the best for our family... that means that we got the one that looked when Ian tapped on the cage. Our new little family member is white with pinkish red eyes. We named her "Fresa" which in spanish means strawberry because of her red eyes. She has been quite the perfect pet for our family. She doesn't make loud noises, she eats veggies & grass, & her poop is tiny & sweeps right up... definitely a keeper! She is also quite the little diva... very prissy!
But as you know, animals get lonely & our boys were not satisfied in thinking that Fresa was going to be all alone on the days where we are gone a lot.... So, back to the bet store we went, this time choosing a brown bunny. Her name, after much disagreement, became "Fluffy". The boys figured we would have one bunny that was Venezuelan & one that was American! Fluffy is quite calm & completely different than her sister. It has been a great experience for our boys, but the most in love with the bunnies has been Chris! Mr. Serious has definitely been calmed by the bunnies!
