Aroa... a quiet little town with BIG hopes!

This weekend just after returning from our trip to Mérida, we headed off yet again, but this time for the town of Aroa.  This small city is the home of our dear friend Erica.  We were so excited to finally have the chance to spend time with her & her family.  On Saturday we were so pleased to be a part of the final evening of a week of VBS that the AG church there had done.  This small church had ministered to over 500 children in this small town.  What an impact they are making on their community!  We were so happy to be able to donate a comic book series from Global for them to be able to pass out as a gift at the end.  What a wonderful time we had!     We spent the night in Aroa & the next morning we were welcomed in their church as Chris preached.  Our afternoon was spent sharing with Erica's pastor & family.  What a special time it was!  This church has plans to continue ministry in 4 sectors in the town.  They are truly stepping out & making a difference.  They are taking the love of Jesus to them instead of waiting for them to come. (Remember that most all of them walk because no one has money to afford a car.)
