Missions Around the World

We have had lots of opportunities here in Venezuela.  One such opportunity that was very special for Chris & I was to be involved with the missionary projects of the new missionaries being sent out from Venezuela.  Each nation has their own set of requirements for their missionaries before they can begin itineration & be sent out as a missionary.  In Venezuela, after a year long School of Missions process, each missionary presents a project to a panel of judges which for most is a detailed description of the country they want to minister in, the type of work they wish to do, & the funding & resources needed to get them there.  It is a time consuming process & its completion is a huge accomplishment for the missionary candidates.  We were honored to be there to see the presentations & Chris was privileged to be one of the evaluators for the event.  In the picture, you see us along with many of the missionary candidates.  The man on the end is Samuel Rodriguez.  He was the director of missions for the country but is transitioning out to be a missionary to Peru.  If you notice, everyone else in the photo is a woman.  There were 14 missionary projects ALL presented by woman.  The majority of them were single females.  God is doing amazing things in Venezuela & it is exciting to see these women being used & willing to travel the globe for the sake of the Gospel.
