An End of an Era in Costa Rica

For 1 year our family had the opportunity to live in the country of Costa Rica in the city of San Jose.  We attended a language school owned & operated by the Assemblies of God.  We were privileged to be part of the largest class of missionaries to graduate from this school.  God is doing amazing things in the area of missions as He is continuing to call individuals around the world.  Regardless of economic hardships & struggles, God is the God of the harvest & he has much left to be accomplished.

Our time in Costa Rica produced much fruit in the area of language acquisition & in simply being able to adapt culturally.  Sometimes that is easier said than done!  It is quite an adjustment to be in a new country with no car as a full time student with all the normal family responsibilities.  Cooking takes 2-3 times as long & getting groceries can be an all day event in taxis.  But through it all, God was gracious & we are better because of our experiences.  We were blessed to make many new friends both missionaries as well as nationals from Costa Rica.  Our children did great & were sad to leave Costa Rica as they had made many new friends.  Their spanish speaking abilities astounds us daily.  Thank you for the prayers & support we have received to be able to learn a new language that will use to be effective as we minister to the many that still need Jesus.  Pictured are the graduates of our language school class.  These individuals are currently serving in Nicaragua, El Salvador, The Dominican Republic, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Panama, Mexico, & India.  Since Cincel is also a school that teaches English, we were blessed to have missionaries from the Dominican Republic with us learning English as we learned Spanish so they could then go to India & learn yet another language & minister to the people there that God has burdened their hearts to serve.  It was truly an amazing year!  Thank you for the prayers & support.  With out each of you it would be impossible for us to GO!
